“This is the Book of the commandments of The Most High, and the Law that endures forever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die” (Baruch 4:1).
“What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet” (Romans 7:7)
Keeping God’s Law is a topic of discussion most Christians do not seem to want to have. That is unless it is in the context of, “the law is done away with” and “we are under grace”. They see the law as bondage rather than a life of freedom. Strange how people fight against doing something that God intended for their own good. In this era of lawlessness, people are rebuked and said to be legalistic, if they teach obedience to the law. The Bible tells us that the Law is liberty, which I define as “life and freedom” (James 1:25). The Law is good (1 Timothy 1:8) and perfect, converting the soul and making wise the simple (Psalm 19:7). It is spiritual (Romans 7:14), it is light (Proverbs 6:23) and the truth (Psalm 119:142). The commandments are faithful (Psalm 119:86) and are righteousness. (Psalm 119:172).
“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord” (Psalm 119: 1).
Blessed Is the Man Who Delights in the Law
“The law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just and good” (Romans 7:12). Psalm 1:2 states, “that blessed is the man whose delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law does he meditate day and night”. Most Christians see the law as not good or holy; but as a burden to be released from. They take Romans 6:14 “… For you are not under the law, but under grace” and run with it, as it gives them carte blanche to do as they wilt. People have forgotten that God is not a man that he should lie (Numbers 23:9) and he changes not (Malachi 3:6). Throughout the Bible, we see the reward of those who walked in God’s ways and kept his laws, and commandments. Conversely, we see the recompense of the wicked that chose not to obey and died in their sin.
Is the Law of the Land Life and Freedom?
Life and freedom is not by keeping the law of the land. Its purpose is to control, to divide, to conquer and will never bring freedom. The judgements are not equitable as the penalties often apply to some and not others. Additionally, man’s laws often contradict God’s Law. What is law? The Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines law as “a binding custom or practice of a community; a rule or mode of conduct that is prescribed or recognized as binding by a supreme controlling authority…”. Citizens must abide by the law, as breaking the law can bring stiff consequences ranging from fines, incarceration and even death. People fear breaking man’s law rather than God’s Law. However, Matthew 10:28 tells us to, “fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”.
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:17-18)
People Want Their Cake and to Eat Too
Naturally, people want their cake and to eat it too. Everyone wants to reap the blessings but will not attempt to keep the Law. In fact, people do not accept the penalties for sin even though, “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). The death penalty, as prescribed by God, has been suspended for a time, as we are under grace. Christians think they are exempt from the law of sin and death, by simply saying “I believe”. Understand that much more is required beyond just a personal declaration. I can want to be a size 6 till I am blue in the face. However, unless I address both the underlying spiritual and physical restrictions, it will simply be a dream unrealized. Don’t get me wrong, it is good that they believe, but “the devils also believe and they tremble” (James 2:19), but their end is eternal damnation.
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:3)

The God of Christianity is not the God of Scripture
Christianity is the largest religion on earth with over 2 billion people which claim the Bible as their authoratative source. However, they teach nothing the Book requires. Christians are to be followers of Christ, but instead are followers of man. In their defense, most Christians do not actually read the Bible, so they don’t know what is in the Book. I know this and can relate, because I was once that person of which I speak. I was in bondage, but there wasn’t any physical chains upon my feet or iron around my neck. It was more subtle than that, as I was in a spiritual prison unaware of my incarceration. When the Almighty woke me from my slumber four years ago; I realized, the God and Messiah being preached were not as I have read in the Bible.
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever“ (1 John 2: 16-17)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2)
Are You Following Christ or Man?
Many believe they are following Christ but are following man. My experience will hopefully elucidate the spiritual ramifications of transgressing God’s Law, and the dangers of trusting in man. I was under some serious spiritual attacks which had been going on for 10 years. I went to my then pastor of over thirty years to discuss some issues I had been having. He instead provided no scriptural basis for what I had been experiencing. However, he would eventually refer me to a so-called “evangelist” in the church. I was desperate for answers, which is right where Satan wanted me. On our call, she invited me to a “secret prayer meeting“, YES I SAID IT! She informed me that I would need a spiritual bath. Then referred me to a person she said had “more power” than she did. I got a prompting in my spirit to run, but didn’t heed.
There are witches/warlocks in the Church
I consulted my pastor that evening, though I was uneasy and he gave me the green light to attend. I went to the “secret prayer meeting” and not one light switch came on the entire time! There were candles, washing our feet outdoors, there was singing, tossing coins in a bucket. Then the kicker, while they were praying, the woman, came up behind me and laid hands on me and I instantly got dizzy and light-headed. The next day, when I showed up to this woman’s house for the “spiritual bath”, I told her that I got light-headed and dizzy when she laid hands on me. I asked her what that was, and she responded, “The spirit! I replied “What spirit! She said “Oh just the spirit… There are witches/warlocks all up in the church.
“Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God”. (Leviticus 19:31)
Ignorance is not a Defense
While in the tub, she kept coming in pouring liquid in the water and around my neck. She told me that I would have to leave her the clothing I arrived in, as they would have to be burned. On the way out, she told me that my dreams would become more vivid. I had no idea what she was talking about, but boy did I learn. For all I know, this witch has my clothes on a demonic alter projecting evil spirits and curses at me. My point is that, in my ignorance, I was breaking laws I did not know existed and like most Christians, my sin was leading me away from my Father and down a path of destruction. Ignorance is not a defense for transgressing the Law. We can’t live righteously if we do not know the law is life.
“There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, of an enchanter, or a witch. Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, of a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord” (Deuteronomy 18: 10-12)
Read the Fine Print
Everyone wants something for nothing these days; but we know there is always a catch or a clause attached. Unfortunately, we fail to read the fine print. If you abide in His goodness, hearken unto his Word, keep his laws and statutes, then all will go well with you. However, if you do not keep his laws, statutes and commandments, or hearken on to His Word then all these curses shall come upon you and overtake you; is what I read in the Bible. The Israelites should be a clear example of the goodness and severity of The Most High, instead Christianity sells a version of God that does not line up to the holy scriptures. The Most High is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). He will execute judgement upon the heathen and His people whether old, or young, male or female, rich or poor.
For forty years, I attended Sunday church and had nothing but lies and defeat to show for it. Then in 2016, The Most High opened my eyes (spiritually) and woke me out of my slumber. I now know that striving to be obedient to my Father and His Law is not bondage, but is freedom. Christians, who do not bow to God’s Law, are sanctifying themselves not by His Word, but by their pastors. Rather than renewing their minds, they are conforming to the world (Romans 12:2). The Law is life and freedom to those that find them.
The Enemy Knows The Law
You won’t know the Law if you have cast it away like dirty old shoes. Make no mistake about it, the Enemy knows the Law, but he has successfully deceived the masses into abandoning the law of life for the law of sin and death. Being ignorant of the law does not exempt us from the penalties thereof. Satan and his demons are lawyers in the realm we cannot see, and we stand accused daily. People don’t realize that God’s law governs both the physical and spiritual realms, and will rule in heaven. Satan wins when we sin, and his strength lies in our ignorance and out right defiance of the Law. People think we are free in this wicked world, but we are slaves. They believe that life and freedom come by not keeping God’s the law, but it’s the complete opposite.
