“So God, created human beings in His own image. In the image of God, He created them; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27).
“Then the Lord formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into His nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7).
Adam and Eve were specimens of true perfection. They didn’t have to contend with sickness or disease and there was no sin. It was right as rain in their world as the Garden of Eden was their earthly paradise, their Heaven on earth. Everything they could possibly need and want was at their disposal, as they were given complete dominion over all of God’s creation (Genesis 1:28-30). They couldn’t ask for much more but even still, the greatest of all, they enjoyed direct, spiritual access to Almighty God. Adam and Eve could talk and walk with God and could see and interact with the spirit realm from their physical bodies. There was no wall separating the spirit realm from the physical realm so it was clear, crisp and unimpeded communication. Life for them was shear bliss, so it truly had to have been Heaven on earth. Unfortunately, this bliss would not last. They didn’t realize how truly blessed they were until they were forced to do without.
