We are living in a time where politics is at the forefront of everything we hear and see on television. Unfortunately, it’s the same ole tired rhetoric every four years, and more and more people are realizing it. They succeed by dividing the country into sections and sub-sections and guilting the masses into participating in the clown show. Next, politicians come promising the sky, knowing full well they’d be lucky to get off the ground or reach eye level. Democrat vs Republican, liberal vs conservative, male vs female, rich vs poor, upper class vs middle class, White vs Black. There’s the educated vs non-educated, immigrant vs non-immigrant, young vs old, the list goes on and on. They tell us to make our vote count; but does it really! My question to those that believe it does is this. Does your politics or political affiliation really matter to God?
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)
Politics Is Not For the Fainthearted
Politics is not for the fainthearted! Politicians can be all things to all people and pander to the masses in public without batting an eyelash. Oftentimes, being skillful at politics, is viewed positively; however, is being a successful liar and master manipulator really praiseworthy attributes? First off, politicians make promises they know they can’t keep; Secondly, they backtrack, tiptoe and sidestep around issues that got them elected; Thirdly, they hide behind Congress when their feet are held to the fire and when they fail to deliver, their proponents just put a positive spin on everything to appease their constituents. It amazes me how the masses fall for this game of bait and switch. Surprisingly, they get upset with those that choose not to conform. How quickly they forget that we also have a right to choose, and we choose NOT to participate in the foolery.
MAM, You Can’t Be So Honest!
Speaking of politics, I was 26 years old and my first job after the military was working for a professor at my college. I really enjoyed the convenience of working down the hall from class and being less than 10 minutes away from home. However, when my supervisor (who was a little older, former military and awesome) resigned, everything changed. The new supervisor was much older, never present; not a leader, unresponsive; but was earning more than her predecessor. When she did decide to show up to work, we would end up butting heads! One day, we exchanged some words at my desk, with Dr. White sitting right there between us. I admit it wasn’t my finest hour; but I will never forget what Dr. White told me when she left. He said, “MAM, you cannot be so honest!” I guess a politician would agree!!
“The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covers the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?” (Job 9:24)
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination”. (Leviticus 18:22)
“Thou shalt not kill”. (Exodus 20:13)
“For there is no respect of persons with God” (Romans 2:11)
Would God Champion Your Politics or Party?
Every nation believes that God is on their side; but who is on God’s side! You can really tell a nation’s allegiance by its politics and legislation. For instance, any nation, whose supreme governing body would pass laws legalizing abortion, is not a champion of God! A country that would pass a law legalizing same-sex marriage, is not on God’s side. Any nation, whose laws favor the rich and well-connected and shows respect for persons in judgement, is a fraud! A nation that props up the woman while simultaneously emasculating and feminizing the man, is Satanic. Ask yourself, “Would God really champion that nation’s politics or vote in its elections?” I think not! As far as I can tell, there is no righteous nation on this earth. If there were, the Bible would not prophesy destruction to all nations and its leaders. I’m just saying!
“Therefore wait you upon me, says the The Most High, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy” (Zephaniah 3:8)
“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land” (Joel 3:2)
The Proof is in the Pudding
The governments around the world, are against The Almighty and who He really is. How do you put God in a government that was not founded on Him in the first place? It’s like Christians saying they are “putting the Christ back in Christmas” when he was never in it to begin with. People are duped into participating in this ritual, which is nothing more than a political drama with characters playing a role on a public stage. Lights, camera, action! Let everyone that has eyes to see and ears to hear, come into the truth. America and nations like it do not serve the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, nor do they subscribe to His Laws or His Word. The proof is in the pudding. In conclusion, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, then guess what… IT’S A DUCK!
“And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19: 15)
