Seek Knowledge Without Ceasing

Seek Knowledge Without Ceasing

Many Christians believe that the Bible is the absolute, unadulterated Word of the Most High. However, they have very little time or rarely bother to read it. They accept what is in the Bible until it runs counter to what man teaches, the pastor preaches or what their flesh wishes to do, and in that case, they ignore it. They will call others out if their actions are counter to Yah’s Word, but then justify them not holding true to it so that they can hold on to man’s doctrines and traditions. This is why it is so very important for us to seek knowledge of Yah’s Word separate from what any religious denomination tells us, because Yah’s Word makes it clear that this is unacceptable behavior. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?” You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye” (Matthew 7:3-5)

No One is Perfect

It is very easy to judge others when they err, but how do you react when the Most High chastises and corrects you? Do you humble yourself, repent and ask for His forgiveness and His guidance? Has He been trying to lead you to the truth but your stubbornness, flesh and the desire to hold on to the likes of this world make it difficult for you to hear Him, feel Him and see Him in your spirit? No one is perfect or blemish-free, for “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, but if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.… (1 John 1:8-9). If we were perfect and without sin, there would not have been a need for Yahusha to come to atone for the sins of His people. “For surely it is not the angels He helps, but the descendants of Abraham. So He had to be made like His brothers in every way, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to Yah, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people” (Hebrews 2:17). Acknowledging our sinfulness and our weakness, will allow us to empathize with others, because if it were not for the love and amazing grace of Yah, we would still be blind and dead to our sins.

Knowledge is Increased

The Bible tells us that knowledge shall be increased in the last days. “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: man shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased” (Daniel 12:4). We are living in the Information Age, so no one has to travel to libraries or wait for snail mail to arrive anymore as everything and anything you could possibly want to know, is just a click away. It makes researching and studying effortless and convenient, so we don’t have to have a PhD or any type of degree for that matter to begin our journey. Admitting that we don’t know everything is a start, because so many believe they know everything. We have to desire to know what we don’t know and be willing to seek and to find it. Seeking our Father stems from a desire to truly know Him and to discover the expectations He has of us, His children (i.e. our obedience in keeping His commandments rather, than believing man’s doctrine which says that the laws He established for His children are done away with). He has a plan for us, but we must seek after Him for the plan to be revealed in His time and in His way.

Seek Knowledge at all Costs

The wonderful thing is that Yah wants us to know Him intimately for He is an open Book. With the convenience and ease of technology, it is safe to say that knowledge not gained is knowledge not sought, “for the heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out” (Proverbs 18:15). In these end times, we cannot afford to be passive in attaining knowledge because being spoon-fed or depending on others to tell us who Yah is, is the same deception that has led to the lies and misconceptions that exist. We must be active partakers in our pursuit of knowledge for I like to say, “We must seek knowledge at all costs and when we find it, we must wrestle it to the ground”. It was in seeking after truth, that I found the lies which are abound. The advent of technology hasn’t all been good. Understand that it will not be an easy task to sort through the bottomless pit of information, for just as the convenience has increased, so to have the lies been made more attainable. This is why in all our pursuit of knowledge, we too must pray for wisdom. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask Yah, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5). Wisdom is a gift from the Father, but many don’t bother to ask for it. “How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! And to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!” (Proverbs 16:16). It is vital that we know right from wrong, truth from lies and good from evil for without knowledge and the wisdom to understand that knowledge, we are all lost.

Truth Concealed Under Lies

There is so much truth concealed under so many more lies, that to start even ten years ago, would find us flatfooted. I have always been a spiritual person, but I thank The Most High everyday for opening my eyes to His truth, for I am not where I was even six months ago on my journey. Before I started blogging, I had applied to college to pursue a second Masters degree, but knowing what I know now, I am thankful that Yah intervened and detoured me from that plan, for the knowledge I sought then would have kept me from Yah’s knowledge I have attained now. I started blogging over a year ago with a love of writing, an appreciation and love for my Father, who had brought me through so many things that if by my own strength, I would not be here today, the desire to know Yah’s truth about His Son my Savior Yahusha and to help others was my reason for embarking on this journey. Initially, I approached blogging from a Christian mindset or perspective, but then one by one as I sought the Father, the lies that propped up my pride and faith in my religion and my worldview crumbled. When the smoke and dust cleared, yes family members think I have lost my mind and friends have fallen away, but what is left is Yah and His Son without the lens of religion. From where I stand, that is all that matters.

Too Much Is At Stake

You can’t care what the world thinks when you are seeking after truth and knowledge, because it will not be an easy road. It is a road less traveled for a reason. Everyone wants to conform rather than stand alone, but you will not be able to hold on to both truth and religion, seeing as religion is based on lies. One will have to die, but the one that goes bye-bye will be up to you.  I have said it before and I will say it again, all religion is a path to the same destination. It was created to divert our worship from our Father, who is rightly deserving and worthy of all our praise, to the Enemy, the deceiver of the whole world who is so desperate for the limelight, by any means necessary, that he is willing to lie and deceive to get it. I implore you to do your own research and not accept what people say so readily. It is far too late in the game and too much is at stake. It can get lonely sometimes, but you won’t be alone as people are waking up each and every day and questioning the status quo. All you need do is move closer to Yah and He will move closer to you.

“Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her” (Proverbs 8:10-11).

“Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations, by understanding he set the heavens in place; by his knowledge the watery depths were divided, and the clouds let drop the dew. My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck” (Proverbs 3:13-22).
