It often seems as though the wicked prosper in their plans, while the good suffer them. Proverbs 24:1 tells us, “Do not envy evil people or wish you were with them, because their minds plot violence, and their lips talk trouble”. We are to not be bitter or jealous of the wicked, for their riches, wealth, fame and prosperity are all but temporal. All that they have achieved and everything that they have attained, is in this world and is of this world, and shall one day pass away.
Galatians 6:7-8 warns, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Continue to do you and to do what is right and just in God’s eyes, for what “you” have sown, that will “you” reap. Though the good you do may go un-noticed by the world, nothing goes unnoticed by God. Your true reward is in Heaven.
